In addition to a tithe or monetary gift, think about the gift of your time. We are always looking for volunteers for many needs at Hissom. We have trustees who need help maintaining and cleaning the facilities. We have the Meal and Outreach team who can always, always use help cooking and serving. Transporting of church-goers without vehicles is also a great offer of your time.
Hissom also accepts donations of physical items items that can be given away as blessings to our neighbors during our quarterly Day of Giving events or larger items that can be donated for sale through the Thrift Store, with the proceeds supporting our Hissom Inter-City Mission weekly Food Pantry and Senior Nutrition program.
Hissom sends out periodic requests for love offerings for global missions, specific building needs or bonus gifts for our clergy. Your gifts for any of our request are always treated with wise stewardship to reflect the glory of God. Tax documents are provided as required.
You can make your donations online by joining the tithely.com donation platform, visit in person to make your donations through our offering plate, or mail checks or money orders to either the parsonage at 1305 Pennsylvania Avenue, Charleston, WV 25302 or to the Treasurer of the Board, Anita May, at 1910 Bigley Avenue, Charleston, WV 25302.
